Dear Parents/Carers,

Assembly
The focus for Friday’s Assembly was Young Carers. We talked about the concept and looked at some examples of how this can impact on a family.
Red Nose Day
This year we are continuing to support Comic Relief by taking part in Red Nose Day on Friday 21st March. The theme this year is ‘40 years…..Party Like It’s 1985’. Pupils (and staff) are invited to wear their favourite ’80s outfits, whether that’s funky leggings, big hair, neon colours, or anything wild and wacky! Alternatively, they may choose to wear as many red items as they wish.
On this day we will have a special whole school assembly to celebrate (get your dancing shoes ready). During the week leading up to the Friday we will have some Comic Relief activities in class and around the school.
We hope you will continue to support this worthwhile charity and if you are able to, please give a small donation. You can do this by donating via Parent Pay.

Feedback Needed from P6 & P7 Parents…
We’d love to hear from you! Ahead of our next Parent Council meeting on Thursday 27th, we’re gathering feedback from P6 & P7 parents on School iPads and digital learning. During the meeting, alongside updates from the Parent Council and Mr Gilhooley, we’ll be joined by the Council’s Digital Learning Team for an open discussion on the benefits and challenges of digital learning. We’ll also cover practical topics such as apps, access, and privacy. To help shape this conversation, we’d be really grateful if you could take a moment to complete our short survey about your experiences.
Complete the survey here: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/F6TW1J/
And of course, we’d love for you to join us in person at the school from 7-8pm on Thursday 27th to discuss it together!
Parents from all year groups are welcome, as this discussion will help improve our digital learning approach for the future.

Bake Sale for P7 Treat
Please find details (attached) of an upcoming Bake Sale in the School Playground to raise funds for the P7 leavers treat day.
Plants for the Summer Fayre
Now that spring is here, for those of you who sow seeds or take cuttings from your existing plants, please consider sowing or potting up a few extra for the plant stall at the summer fayre in May – it’s usually a very popular stall, and the greater diversity of plants the better. Indoor and outdoor plants are both of interest. Any leftovers can go in the school planters!
Easter Tennis
Please find Easter Camps Mortonhall Tennis Club (attached) who have subsidised places for children for families who may not be able to attend these opportunities.
Festivals
For those who are celebrating – Happy Purim and Holi!
Kind regards,
Stephen Gilhooley
