Enrolment at Bruntsfield Primary School
If you are interested in enroling your child at Bruntsfield Primary School, please contact the school office, in the first instance, to check places are available.
Detailed information on school placements are found on the City of Edinburgh Council website at the link below.
Catchment Area Applications
If you live in our catchment area and wish to make an application, please read our Notes on Admission document, complete the form below and return it to the school along with:
•a copy of your child’s birth certificate
•proof of your address (current council tax letter AND a recent utility bill)
If your child is not an EU citizen, you will also need to provide a copy of their passport and relevant visa.
If you do not have the required documents, please contact the school administrator for further advice.
Non-Catchment Area Applications
The law allows parents to express a preference for a different school and such a school is often referred to as a non-catchment school. This is done by making a placing request. In the City of Edinburgh many placing requests are granted, but it is important to note that in our experience, not all requests can be met. The authority may only refuse your request for certain reasons laid out in law.
If you live outwith our catchment area and wish to make an application, please complete the form below and return it with the following:
- a copy of your child’s birth certificate
- proof of your address (current council tax letter AND a recent utility bill)
When you enrol your child, you must complete an admission form giving information about your child. This information is kept confidential.
It is vital that all home, work and mobile numbers of parents & carers and other additional nominated emergency contacts are kept up to date. Please inform the school office of any change of phone numbers or of emergency contact details to ensure our records are updated.
