Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to the start of the new academic year.

In response to parent feedback, we are introducing ‘Bruntsfield News’ to keep you informed. We plan to send this out regularly. It will be short and snappy – something you have told us you like.

We welcome our new teaching staff: Miss Emily Kidd (P1C); Miss Leah Anderson (P2B); Miss Hannah Doig (P5C) and congratulate Mrs Armit (Miss Leanne Holburn) on her wedding.

We also welcome our new office staff Mrs Jayne Mannion, Clerical Assistant and Mrs Ellen Foster, School Administrator. As you can imagine they are busy learning our systems and families and this takes time.

We have installed a new door which allows parents and carers access to the school office. Please remember to sign in and out, as this is our Fire Register for visitors.

We are very pleased with the refurbished classrooms, Room 5 (P2B), 5A (P2C) and the Computer Suite.

A quick reminder to our cello and violin students to bring their instruments for lessons on Wednesday and Thursday respectively and for all children to bring their PE kit.

Our curriculum meeting for P1 parents and carers is on Wednesday 30th August between 4 and 5pm. This is an opportunity for parents and carers to hear about the P1 curriculum. Unfortunately, we do not have crèche facilities. Please meet in your child’s classroom.

Parent Consultation Meetings are Tuesday 26 September and Thursday 28 September, 4-7pm.

Individual photographs are on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 September.
