Assembly

Assembly for P3 – P7 currently takes place on a Monday morning at 9am, hosted by our Head Teacher, Mr Gilhooley.  It follows a programme which covers a diverse range of themes; from Children’s Rights, festivals and resilience, to health and safety messages and curricular issues.

The 50 minutes also generally includes a vibrant song, a celebration of our achievements and a happy birthday to those who have celebrated their birthday that week.  The tension mounts as assembly finishes when we announce our certificate winners based on our school values and Class of the Week.

Our certificate winners are invited to ‘Tea with the HT’ following Assembly.  The children are hosted by Mr Gilhooley in his Office and treated to Hot Chocolate.  It is our chance to share our achievements with each other.

P1 and P2 have their Assembly on Tuesday afternoons with Ms Dobie. They feature similar themes and enjoy lots of singing and fun.
