Head Teacher’s Update 20/06/2025

Dear Parents/Carers,

Assembly

This weeks assembly was our Annual Prize Giving.  Congratulations to Isla T in P7 who won the Golden Book award for being a consistent fantastic member of the Bruntsfield School Community.  We are very proud of her.  Other awards include The Golden Boot, Junior Duke, House Cup and Class of the Week.

Class Teachers for next session

Miss Whitehead won’t be with us as she will be taking a career break overseas.  Miss Cumming has completed her probation year with us, and Mrs Ross’ temp contract has come to an end. We welcome back Mrs McBain from her break.  Other new members of our Bruntsfield family include Mrs Gladstone who will team teach with Mrs Harvey in P4A and our 2 probationer teachers this year – Miss Horner and Miss Westland.  They will be supported by Mr Wood and Mrs Lamond. Ms Knust will be in P7C on Mondays and then utilise her skills and expertise in PE for the remainder of the week.  She takes over from Mr Smith who will retire.

Our vacancy for Miss Whitehead has just been advertised.  There will be an excellent practitioner in place come August.
