Dear Parents and Carers,
- Our Easter Service at Barclay Viewforth was led by P5 pupils and they told the story of The Three Trees and how families celebrate Easter around the world. Well done P5 Team, it was both entertaining and enjoyable. I especially liked the Chocolate Song!
- Rev. Sam Torrens has been a valued member of our school community for over 14 years. He is moving to Slateford Longstone Church and we wish him all the very best in the future and thank him for all the kindness and support he has shown our School and community.
- Sharing the learning: P4 classes have designed science experiments linked to the rainforest topic. You may have noticed some of their rain gauges hanging on the railings. We look forward to finding out the outcomes of their experiments.
- The children are thinking of ways to use St Oswald’s Hall, there are some very creative ideas being shared!
- Leonardo in P4A has reached the finals of the Delancey Chess Competition in Manchester. Well done and best of luck Leonardo!
- Alex in P7C won two Gold Medals for Kayaking at a competition in Hexham at the weekend. We wish him all the very best of luck in the races leading up to the Scottish Championships in August.
- Last day of term is Friday 05 April.
- School starts on Tuesday 23 April for staff and pupils.
I’ll take this opportunity to say have a lovely Spring Break.
Take care and look after yourselves.
I look forward to working with you in the summer term.
Kind regards,
Carol Kyle
