Following today’s SSBU qualifying match with ESMS, I am delighted to report that Bruntsfield won all 5 games against ESMS.

The team played well, and showed great sportsmanship, playing some friendly games after the match, and mixing with the other team.

Scores below:

Girls Doubles: Mathilde & Savannah : Amy & Sophie 21:11

Boys Doubles: Hugh & Max :  Greg & Connor 21:10

Mixed Doubles: Elwyn & Madeleine : Murray & Keira 21:19

Girls Singles: Poppy : Tishya 21:5

Boys Singles: Joe : Ewan 21:6

Bruntsfield have now qualified for the SSBU Gibb Memorial Primary Quaich, representing Edinburgh Schools, which will be held at the  Ravenscraig centre, Wishaw on Saturday 23rd February. Bruntsfield won this national competition last year, and so will be defending the title and trophy (the large shield that sits in the Bruntsfield trophy cabinet!)

Please pop the 23rd in your diary and let me/Mike know if your child is not available.

We’ll play ESMS again in March (likely to be the 14th) for a Badminton league match – defending two other badminton trophies, also sitting in the cabinet!
