Dear Parent/Carers,

P3 Harvest Show

On Thursday, the P3s put on an amazing performance of their Harvest Show for their families in the Stage Hall.  It was the first time Bruntsfield has staged a show in school for a few years and we all agreed it was great to have the community in the hall during the school day.  Thanks to all staff and pupils for their hard work! We hope to extend these artistic opportunities to other stages – so watch this space!

Outdoor improvements and learning

Louise Gourmelon, one of our fantastic parent helpers and Mrs Lamond have been working hard to develop our grounds for play, learning and ecology.  Many thanks for the huge amount of work Ms Gourmelon has put in to our playground project.  She has very kindly captured the work – heavily influenced by pupil participation in a Padlet below.

Uniforms

If you have any spare uniforms in the wardrobe at home, please hand them into the Office so we can redistribute them to other members of our school community.  We also have new school sweatshirts to support some of our families.  Please contact the Office who will put you in touch with Mrs Nicol (DHT).

P1 Open Day

It was lovely to meet so many new and not so new parents and carers at our P1 Open Day on Wednesday.  P7 did an amazing job as tour guides and we received lots of great feedback.  Please remind anyone you know with children of pre-school age to get in touch with the School Office as soon as they can.

Social Media

If you are a follower of Twitter, please do follow our school!  You can find us @BPSlearners.  If you don’t have Twitter, please do consider joining.  We post lots of fantastic photographs which capture all our children taking part in creative and fantastic learning experiences!

Have a great weekend.
