Head Teacher’s Blog 28/10/2022

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back! We have had a very spooky, fun end to our week! There were lots of fantastic games, baking, artwork and dance activities I witnessed as I walked around the school. Staff and pupils all looked great.  Think I need to up my game for next year!

School Uniform

All children should wear a blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan marked or unmarked every day.  PE kit can be worn under their clothes for a quick and easy change.

Author Visit

On Wednesday, Primary 6 and 7 had a visit from a local author – Aisling Fowler.  Her book was out in September titled ‘Fireborn.’  The visit was offered through The Edinburgh Bookshop who have supported the school in the past.  The children found the morning very interesting and enjoyable.  Many thanks to all those who organised and supported the event.

P1 Open Day

Don’t forget to remind local friends and family who have pre-school children that our Open Day will take place on Wednesday 2nd November.  Tours will take place from  9.30am – 11am and 1.45pm – 2.45pm.

Have a great weekend!

Kind regards,

Stephen Gilhooley
