Head Teacher’s Update

Assembly

We had a whole school assembly today (Friday) celebrating and sharing our wonderful Class Charters.  Each class showed off their display on the big screen and talked about why they chose the pictures and UNCRC Rights to represent their class and set their unique ethos.  P1 and P2 sat and listened very well.

Achievements

We are regularly informed of new achievements by our talented children every day.  Please do send in an email to me and we can share these via the HT Update every week.

Staffing

Our new Pupil Support Officer (PSO) Katie Brennan has started this week.  It will take a couple of weeks to find her feet.  You will get a chance to meet her next Tuesday at Meet the Teacher.

Supporting Young People’s Mental Health

The Teenage Brain (for parents and carers of pre-teens and teenagers)

Sessions are delivered by Andrena Graham and Jill Coleman, Parent and Carer Support Development Officer.

What’s going on in that head of yours?

The teenage years bring big changes for young people and their parents and carers. This session explores how brain development influences behaviour and offers practical tips to help parents and carers understand, support, and empower their young people to thrive. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the wide range of supports that are available to support you and your child.
