Assembly
We were back to our regular assembly format this week. We learned a new song in Scots about our feelings. We heard from the Rights Respecters. Our Article for January/February is: ‘Children who are refugees have the right to help, protection, and the same rights as children born in this country.’
We also reflected on all the work we have done last month on ‘Challenging our Mindset’. Our Classes of the Week were P7D and P6A.
What’s on next week?
Busy day on Monday! P5 have Medical Workshops, P6 welcome Generation Science and P7 will be working with Social Enterprise.
Achievements
We generally hear from children their wider achievements out of school, but sometimes things are missed. If your child has done something great out with school and would like it shared, please send a wee email to the Office for the attention of Mr Gilhooley and it can be included in future HT Updates.
P1/2 and P2 Show
Well done to all our talented P1/2 and P2 children who did an amazing show this morning (Friday) for our parents and families all about ‘Hot and Cold Lands’. We learned so much on this Sustainability theme. Thanks to all our amazing staff who worked hard with the children to produce such an amazing show.
Primrose Fund
The Primrose Fund has traditionally been the money set aside by the Parent Council to support Bruntsfield families who cannot afford the full amount for our P7 Lagganlia residential. We have 105 children going to camp this year which will be our biggest number yet! We will be looking for extra help this year, so watch this space.
As Mrs Ramsay was our main lead in all things Lagganlia, we have decided to rename the Primrose Fund as the Ramsay Fund in her honour. Please support ‘The Ramsay Fund’ when you can.
