P3s at Gorgie Farm
ART WORK FROM P3
In P3A we demonstrated creativity in our designs and descriptions of our ideal planets.
In P3B we used a range of materials to build our sukkahs. We learned about these when we were studying the Jewish festival of Sukkot. We used our problem solving skills to build a frame with 3 walls and a roof through which we could see the sky.
In P3C we drew ourselves holding hand around the world to represent the rights to which all of the children in the world are entitled.
P3 lunchtime choir sang a beautiful Christmas song to the P6 and P7 pupils. We all loved it
P3A have been learning all about Ancient Egyptians and this week we are focusing on Pharaohs.
This morning we researched what headdresses looked like in ICT and sketched out our own designs on paper. This afternoon Miss Faichney printed photographs of our profiles which we cut out and stuck on a black piece of card – we had to cut off all our hair and make sure our ears stuck out! Then we used chalk pastels to create bright, patterned headdresses on our heads and makeup on our faces. Afterwards we wrote our name in hieroglyphics. It was very messy and very fun!!’
Here are some of our amazing Egyptian headdress pictures
Our P3 Harvest Celebration at Barclay Viewforth Church.
Our favourite song was Let it Grow…to the tune of Let it Snow. We thoroughly enjoyed performing to our families and friends. Our food collection was donated to Social Bite.
Here are some photos of the event.
