Head Teacher’s Blog 08/01/2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Happy New Year to you all. I hope you and your families are all well.

We would all have preferred to have the children in school and an end to the C19 Virus, but shall do all we can to keep you, your children, the staff and the community safe.

Learning will be posted on Teams and teachers are planning this together in stages. The children have been working on Teams for Homework and we have planned to ensure everyone has access. If you have any problems accessing Teams, please let us know. We know things can change.

If, for any reason you would like to contact the teacher, or ask the teacher a question, please do so via admin@bruntsfield.edin.sch.uk. Please avoid the temptation to do so on Teams. Some children said they felt more comfortable with only their peers and their teacher using Teams. Growing confidence in this is an aim for all.

We have plans in place for the children whose parents are both key workers, who will be in school, and are pleased to help keep our National Health Service running. Details will be sent to these families separately to help us plan on a weekly basis. The children in school will also follow the online learning of the class whist they are in school.

I know everyone is looking forward to working with all the children again in school. We look forward to a quick a reduction in the spread of Covid19 and the vaccine to allow us all to be together again.

As always, if there is anything we can do to help, please let us know via admin@bruntsfield.edin.sch.uk

Kind regards,

Carol Kyle
