This year we had the opportunity to train at Boroughmuir High School in their main Sportshall (thanks to Lorna Bradford)in the mornings from around 7.45 to 8.30am. I was so happy that so many were committed to training sessions that early in the morning and it certainly paid off in the end. We were up against a few teams that in the past have been very strong – Buckstone, Cramond and Sciennes. There were 10 teams competing but in the end we won this with a score of 400 points and the nearest to us was Sciennes with 354 points. We will now go on to the final of the Edinburgh Cup on the 21st January 2019.
We also did exceptionally well in the Long Jump where by one of our girls came in first with a huge jump of 2.20M and won an individual medal for breaking the record that stood. Well done !
On another note can I thank Lorna for all her help and support along the way and to Donna English and Cat Stevens for coming on the day to help out which was much appreciated.
I am very proud of the whole team.
