This week all the children got to the First Red, the Middle station, which is an amazing achievement.
They are all slaloming through the poles which means they are now fully working the head and body together! Their skills have come on so much that some of them are nearly parallel skiing already. They are all well in control of their skiing and are far more aware ,on the tow bars, of each other. At the beginning they were not really paying enough attention to who was coming up behind them or in front so when they got to the destination they were going to they didn’t get out of the way for the next one coming up …it is amazing to see how much more awareness they have developed of their surroundings and people.
On representing the school, we always go to the cafe for break in the morning and am pleased that they are all very well behaved, clearing up their plates, putting chairs back and generally leaving the place the same way we found it so they are contributing to us being able to continue going to the cafe and showing respect for the wider community and the people who work in it.
On a final note I would like to mention a couple of children who until this Friday were not keen to move further up the colours, however, they made the red by the end of this Friday so I am very proud of them. This is a huge achievement for both of them. They took that leap of faith and succeded even though they were really scared, that is what resilience is all about !
