Head Teacher’s Blog 8/11/2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

  • Emma has been selected for the P7 Football Select Squad. She is the only girl in a team of boys and will represent Edinburgh in the Inter-Region select competitions run by the Scottish Schools Football Association. There are three ‘7 a-side’ competitions this session.  If you would like to go along, the first is on Tuesday 28th November in Glasgow.
  • Bruntsfield Primary School won the Sportshall Athletics Competition at Meadowbank Sports Centre on Monday 6th November 2017 with a total of 209 points. Thank you Mrs Ramsay for training them and organising this.   The children were back in time to be presented with their certificates at Monday’s Gathering. Well done everyone!
  • Anti-Bullying Week runs from 13-17 November 2017 and will be launched at our Gathering. This year’s theme is ‘All Different’. Each class will engage with activities appropriate to their age and stage. Further information is available from: https://www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/.
  • Building Resilience: Next week, we launch Unit 5: Talk Things Over. Look out for the Parent and Carer leaflet which will be with you shortly. Further information will be posted on our School Website under Building Resilience.
  • We still have some Poppies for sale in our entrance hall, if you would like one.
